► Place the m odule into the module bay so that the contacts enter ﬁrst.

► Push the module into the module bay until you feel it locking into place.

8251:1993: LASER CLASS 1, and must therefore not be open ed.

Handling data carriers

Observe the following guidelines when ha ndling data carriers:

• Avoid touching the surfa ce of a data c arrier. Only handle data carriers by their edges.

• Always store data carriers in their cases. This will protect the data carrier ag ainst

being covered in dust, scratched or damaged in any other way.

• Protect your data carriers against dust, mechanical vibrations and direct sunlight.

• Avoid storing a data carrier in areas subject to high temperatures or hum idity.

You may use both 8-cm and 12-cm data carriers in the optical drive.

When using a data c arrier of lesser quality, vibrations and reading errors may occur.
