Getting Started
Status Display 1
Icons appear in the Status display indicating the status of system functions such as
system power and battery charge level. The location of icons in the Status display is
shown in Figure 1-3.

Table 1-1 shows how individual icons are displayed, and describes what the
variations of that display indicate. (If an icon is not displayed, it indicates that the
related system function is off or inactive.

Icon System Function
Power icon.
Indicates system
state.
Continuous:
Fully on
(running)
Idle or Standby state
(resumes activity when
pen activity or other input detected).
Blinking:
Suspend-to-RAM
mode.
Not displayed:
Off
state (when suspend button is configured
as a power button or when the system is shut
down with a software exit.)
Suspend-to-Disk
mode
See “System States” in Chapter 2 for more details.
DC Input icon. Displayed when DC power is connected and the system is fully
on or in suspend mode. Also displayed when the battery is
being charged.
