Security functions
SmartCard SystemLock (optional)
With SystemLock enabled, the device can only be started using an initialised SmartCard (SIC RYPT,
CardOS or Fujitsu) and a perso nal identication number (PIN). The SmartCard and PIN are
checked during syste m booting in the BIOS, i.e. before the operating system is started.

A correct SmartCard is

permanent installation
SmartCardSwitchingonthe
system
All new SmartCards have a preset PIN (Personal Identi cation Number)
and PUK (Personal Unblocking Key).
On SICRYPT and CardOS SmartCards, the value 12345678 is preset
for the PIN and the PUK.
On F ujitsu cards, the value 0000 is preset for the PIN and the value
administrator is preset for the PUK. For security reasons, we recommend
that you c hange both PIN and PUK without fail.
Additional software (e.g. Smarty) is required so that the system can also check that
the correct SmartCard is i nserted while the system is runn ing.
For information on how to uninstall SystemLock, please refer to "Uninstall SystemLock".
A system which w as protected using SystemLock can no longer be released.
Always create a backup copy of the SmartCard which was used.
