Troubleshooting and tips

The device cannot be switched off with the ON/OFF switch

Cause

Remedy

The device has not bee n switched on with the

ON/OFF switch.

► Press the ON/OFF switch again.

System crash ► Ke ep the on/off switch pressed for at least 4

seconds until the machine switche s off.

Caution: This can lead to a loss of data!

This pro cedu re does not allow the operating

system to shut down in an orderly way. The next

time the system is started there may well be

error m essage s.

Monitor remains blank

Cause

Remedy

Monitor is sw itched off. ► Sw itch you r monitor on.

Power saving has been activated (screen is

blank)

► Press any key on the keyboard.

► Deactivate the s c reen saver. If

necessary, en ter the appropriate

password.

Brightness control is set to dark ► Ad just the brightness control. For detailed

information, please refer to the operating

manual supplied with your monitor.

Power cable not connected

► Sw itch off the monitor and the device.

► C heck that the monitor pow er cable is

properly connected to the monitor and to

a grounded mains outle t or to the monitor

socket of the device.

► C heck that th e device power cable is

properly plugged into the device and a

grounded mains outlet.

► Sw itch on the monitor and the device.

Monitor cable not connected

► Sw itch off the monitor a

► C heck that the m onitor cable is properly

connected to the device and monitor.

► Sw itch on the monitor an

d the device.
